We got this very special batch of cacao beans from UNOCACE, a cooperative based in Boliche, Guayas Province. UNOCACE was established in 1999, and produces Cacao Nacional Arriba, a varietal of cacao that is very highly regarded around the world.
The cacao was carefully roasted to preserve its unique qualities, and stone ground for a silky smooth finish.
