WCF experience terms and conditions
These T&Cs apply to all Wellington Chocolate Factory experiences. Please email retail@wcf.co.nz with questions.
1. Booking and Confirmation

1.1. Bookings are only confirmed once full payment has been received.

1.2. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided at the time of booking; this constitutes the contract between you (“Participant”) and Wellington Chocolate Factory (“WCF”).

1.3. By booking, the Participant acknowledges these Terms & Conditions and agrees to be bound by them.
2. Participation Requirements

2.1. The experience is suitable for participants aged 12 years and over. Participants under 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

2.2. WCF reserves the right to refuse participation to any person it deems unsuitable for the experience.

2.3. Participants must arrive on time. Due to the nature of the chocolate making process we cannot make expectation to this rule. Participants more than 10 minutes late will forfeit their place without refund.
3. Cancellation and Rebooking

3.1. All bookings are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

3.2. Participants may rebook their experience at no additional charge up to 7 days prior to the scheduled experience date, subject to availability.

3.3. Rebooking must be completed using the rebooking link provided in the booking confirmation email or by emailing retail@wcf.co.nz.

3.4. Failure to attend the experience without prior rebooking (“no-show”) will result in forfeiture of the booking without refund or rebooking.

3.5. Force Majeure / Exceptional Circumstances. WCF is not responsible for a Participant’s inability to attend an experience due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to flight delays or cancellations, adverse weather conditions, transport disruptions, illness, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, WCF is not obligated to provide a refund or compensation for a missed experience. Participants are encouraged to seek reimbursement for any missed experiences due to travel disruption or unforeseen circumstances through their travel insurance provider, where applicable.

3.6. Cancellation by WCF. In the event that WCF is required to cancel an experience for any reason, Participants will be offered the choice of a full refund or rebooking to an alternative date, subject to availability.
4. Health, Safety and Allergen Information

4.1. WCF may not be able to accommodate all allergen requirements. Participants agree that WCF is not liable for reactions arising from undisclosed allergens.

4.2. All Participants must adhere to any safety instructions given during the experience.
5. Conduct and Behaviour

5.1. Participants must behave respectfully and safely at all times. WCF reserves the right to terminate a Participant’s involvement without refund for inappropriate behaviour.

5.2. Participants accept responsibility for their personal belongings.
6. Intellectual Property

6.1. All content, materials and demonstrations provided as part of the experience are the intellectual property of WCF or its licensors.

6.2. Participants may not reproduce or use WCF’s proprietary materials for any commercial purpose without prior written consent.
7. Liability

7.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, WCF and its directors, employees or agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the Participant’s participation in the experience.

7.2. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
8. Photography and Promotion

8.1. WCF may take photos or videos during the experience for promotional use. Participants consent to the use of any such footage unless they inform WCF in writing prior or during to the experience.

8.2. No photographs or video footage will be taken of minors (participants under 18 years of age) for promotional use, unless prior written consent has been obtained from a parent or legal guardian.
9. Changes to Terms

9.1. WCF reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The Terms applicable are those in place at the time of booking.
10. Governing Law

10.1. These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
